New Territories Awarded in Norfolk and Virginia Beach
Our 75th Franchisee Will Serve Thousands of Children Throughout Southeastern Virginia
British Swim School, a national franchise and premier learn to swim provider headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, awarded two new territories in Virginia last month. The franchised businesses will be located in Virginia Beach and the Norfolk/Chesapeake areas, respectively.
“We’re thrilled to have a new franchise awarded right in our backyard,” British Swim School President Brian Garrison said. “Virginia Beach has been a terrific home for our corporate office, and we couldn’t be happier to have a franchise launched in a community that revolves so much around the water.”
British Swim School of Greater Virginia Beach was awarded to Chuck Cassidy, a 50-year native of Virginia Beach. A program director overseeing hospitality, missions and congregational care at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, Chuck learned about the opportunity from a friend working at British Swim School’s home office and fell in love with the company’s mission.
“I love the fact that British Swim School had a very solid core mission: saving lives,” he said. “Water safety and survival skills are crucial for everyone to have, and I’m excited to teach those skills in my hometown and beyond.”
Cassidy is hoping to open his new British Swim School by January 2021.
Operating since 1981, British Swim School’s mission is teaching water safety and survival skills to children as young as 3 months old. Best known for its unique approach to swim lessons, British Swim School teaches water safety and survival first, and stroke development skills second. Students are placed in classes based on skill level with specific goals to meet before moving on, an approach not found in session-driven programs. British Swim School currently operates in over 215 pools across the United States and Canada.
