How did you arrive at your current goal with British Swim School?
I spent 10 years working for another Franchisor. When I heard about British Swim School and that they had just moved the corporate headquarters a few miles from my house I knew it was time to make a change. I love the mission and found the model very exciting. I had to be a part of it.
How would you describe your role on the British Swim School team?
I’m fortunate to work with business owners each day who put everything they’ve got on the line. We talk through issues they’re having, identify opportunities that they may have missed and look past what’s happening today to plan for the future.
What was your dream career when you were 5 years old? Are you doing any aspect of that today?
As a kid I really wanted to be a garbage man – it looked like so much fun to ride around on the back of the truck! Thus far, I haven’t seen any truck-riding opportunities with British Swim School.
If you could turn back time and give one piece of advice to your 18-year old self, what would it be?
Take more risks.
What advice would you have for someone considering a British Swim School franchise opportunity?
One you’ve made the leap, invest time in building relationships with your fellow franchisees. Learn from their experiences so you can build your business quickly and focus on creating a great experience for your staff and the customers you serve.
