Nora Farhat Named Franchisee of the Year by International Franchise Association

The International Franchise Association (IFA) today named Nora Farhat, owner of British Swim School of Detroit, as a 2022 Franchisee of the Year. Farhat was honored at the 63rd IFA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, for being an outstanding franchise establishment owner-operator.

“Nora is an exemplary franchisee and is always looking for ways to expand her business and increase awareness for the brand,” said Ashley Gundlach, British Swim School president. “She is a leader and doesn’t hesitate to give advice to fellow franchisees. We are thrilled to see the IFA recognize her in this way.”

The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their service to their communities, fostering a strong and vibrant workforce, opening the doors for career growth and entrepreneurship, and supporting their fellow franchisees.

Farhat opened her British Swim School franchise eight years ago and has also added several other brands to her portfolio. Since then she has grown to be one of the top performers, and a valued resource to the system.
