British Swim School’s Newest Location is Now Open to Serve Halton Region

Halton residents can make learning to swim their new year’s resolution

North America’s Premier ‘Learn to Swim’ Provider Continues Canadian Expansion

British Swim School, the North American leader of “learn to swim” franchise programs, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest franchise location in the Southern Mississauga area at 2145 N Sheridan Way. Franchise owner Rahul Jaswal is excited to join the British Swim School family to spread awareness about the importance of swim safety and offer another safe and convenient location for Halton residents to learn how to swim now that the Red Cross has ended its swimming program in Canada. British Swim School continues to expand its footprint in Canada, with swim lessons currently being offered in twelve locations in Ontario. British Swim School at The Residence Inn by Marriott serves the local Southern Mississauga and Halton region communities.
“Becoming a British Swim School franchisee is a great opportunity for me to do something I love and help save lives,” said Rahul Jaswal, owner of British Swim School of Halton Region. “Being safe in the water is a skill everyone should have, and I’m excited to be a part of teaching the Halton community how to swim here in my hometown.”
The opening of British Swim School at The Residence Inn by Marriott - Toronto Mississauga Southwest is conveniently located to teach life-saving swimming skills to children (and adults!) in a fun and safe environment taught by trained swimming instructors – something owner and entrepreneur Rahul is passionate about. Born and raised in India, where many residents, including children, love the water but do not know how to swim, Rahul himself learned to swim after moving to Canada 17 years ago and knows all too well the importance of learning safe water skills from a young age to prevent accidental drownings.
"Rahul is a wonderful addition to the British Swim School family and a tremendous advocate of the importance of teaching children how to swim from a young age,” said Ashley Gundlach, British Swim School President. “Rahul is passionate about swim safety and shares our corporate values and believes in our mission driven concept to teach children water survival skills and help reduce the number of accidental drownings. We are excited to officially welcome him to our family and wish him great success.”
British Swim School offers a three-part curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages - some as young as three months - water acclimation, safety and survival skills, and swim stroke development. While parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, research shows that participating in formal swim programs, such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.
