British Swim School Celebrates Inclusion on Prestigious INC 5000 List

The Nation’s Premier ‘Learn to Swim’ Provider Soars to Notable Ranking
British Swim School, the nation’s leading “learn to swim” franchise is thrilled to announce one of its highest rankings ever on the Inc. 5000. The company is ranked #737 on the newly released, 41st annual Inc 5000, the most prestigious compilation of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent small and midsized businesses. For more than 40 years, British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival skills by teaching infants, children, and adults of all ages the skills needed for water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development. Its mission — ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer. Coming off its strongest year ever in 2021, British Swim School is continuing its booming US and Canadian expansion in 2022. So far this year the brand has been awarded 20 new franchises, with 250 open locations across 29 states and Canadian provinces. This momentum demonstrates an ever-growing need for swim lessons, with British Swim School primed to be the premier swim lesson provider in these communities.
“This ranking is something we are celebrating systemwide — a recognition such as this is truly a testament to our system of franchise owners,” said Ashley Gundlach, British Swim School President. “We’ve seen incredible growth across the United States and Canada even with the challenges of the pandemic. I am proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and excited about the bright future.”
The 2022 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2018 to 2021. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent, not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.
“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today.”
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc. magazine, which will be available on August 23.
